Adrian Ronan
- Class:
Adrian Ronan is an Irish sportsperson. He plays hurling with his local club Graigue-Ballycallan and was a member of the Kilkenny senior inter-county team in the 1980s and the 1990s. He was part of the Graigue-Ballycallan team of the late 90s and very early 00s which claimed 2 Kilkeny County titles, one Leinster title and were beaten in 2001 by Athenry in the All-Ireland Club hurling final. He continued to play senior club hurling until recently but last year turned out for Graigue-Ballycallan Junior B team in goal and played a big role in them winning the North Kilkenny Final. Unfortunately "Ronnie" didn't get to go out on a high as his side were beaten by Piltown, who went on to the All-Ireland Final. It is thought that Ronan is now retired but there remains rumours that he may return to play on goal for Ballycallan once again under legendary manager Dinny Cahill. Adrian Ronan is currently manager of Danesfort hurling team, he has brought them from Junior to an Intermediate county final last year and will aim high again this year with such great players as Richie and Paddy Hogan in his side.
